As mentioned in the earlier section on sandpiles, the frequency of avalanche size in a grid obey a power-law distribution. Some experimental results on plaid graphs indicate that this may also be true for plaid graphs. As expected, the exponents generated for plaid graphs are different than those for grid graphs.
